Trick-or-treat times plus other events and fun for the spooky season

Tis the season for costumed, spooky fun and candy-filled festivities.

To help make planning your holiday fun easier, The Dominion Post is gathering information on area trick-or-treat times, trunk-or-treat events, business celebrations and more.

The list will run as space allows, leading up to the holiday.

Monongalia County trick-or-treat

  • Morgantown, 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Westover, 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Star City: 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31

Events

  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 trick-or-treat at Granville Park,Halloween Festival from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Trick-or-treat from 3-5 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Ruby Ampitheater, featuring candy, activities, food trucks and more for the kids. It will be followed by the Ruby Movie in the Park series showing “Monster House” at 5 p.m. and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks, drinks and blankets.
  • Greenmont Halloween Haunt,6-9 p.m. Oct. 31 on Arch Street, featuring a bonfire, candy, s’mores, music by DJ Strizy and more.
  • Truck-or-treat, 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 31 at Cheat Lake Community Church, 527 Tyrone Road, Morgantown

Preston County trick-or-treat

  • Bruceton Mills, 6-7 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Kingwood, 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Brandonville, 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Masontown, 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Reedsville, 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 31
  • Terra Alta, 5-7 p.m.
