WVU students make their way to Morgantown for the school year

Area residents have likely seen more traffic this week as students return for the fall semester at West Virginia University.

The university is in the middle of its Move-In Week events, leading up to the first day of classes.

While most events are for the students. the Mountaineer Parents Club has one for parents and families.

“I Survived Move-In” continues from 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. today at the Evansdale Crossing, 62 Morrill Way, Morgantown. Families will be greeted by staff members and refreshments as a way to relax after the heavy lifting is over.

Also today will be an Honors College Retreat, Welcome Week cookouts and WVUp All Night events. Next week will include academic sessions and Fall Fest.

Classes begin Aug. 16 and the university has a plethora of activities planned to welcome students back to Morgantown and to campus.
