Mon County fair activities run through Saturday night

The fair runs through Saturday with carnival rides and food, pageants and livestock shows, 4-H and community exhibits and much more.

The fairgrounds are open from 5-10 p.m. today, with the schedule featuring the Elks Lodge Free Throw Contest, Lamb, Goat & Rabbit Show and the Junior Miss and Teen pageants.

The all-inclusive $10 entry fee ($15 on Saturday), covers parking, access to carnival rides, all exhibits, live entertainment and motorsport events (pit passes not included). Fair entry is cash only.

Fairgrounds open from 5-10 p.m. the rest of the week, except Saturday when they open from noon-11 p.m.

  • Mason Dixon Boys wood-carving demonstrations, 5-10 p.m.
  • Carnival open, 6-10 p.m.
  • Elks Lodge Free Throw Contest, 6-8 p.m., Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center
  • Lamb, Goat & Rabbit Show, 7-10 p.m.,
    livestock barn
  • Monongalia County Fair Junior Miss Pageant, 7:30-10 p.m., Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center
  • Monongalia County Fair Teen Queen Pageant, 7:30-10 p.m., Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center
