Ann Marie Villers, age 68, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Ann was born in Kimberly, on July 28, 1954, a daughter of the late Joe and Lugie “Lou” Mascaro Amick.
Ann worked as a CRNA at Mon General for over 20 years and later worked at WVU Medicine. She loved her profession and her coworkers and had a special ability to connect with her patients and put them at ease. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and has owned several Harleys of her own. She also enjoyed shopping with her daughters, traveling, and dining out at new restaurants. She loved going to the beach and tending to her plants. Her greatest joy came from being a mom, as her daughters were her best friends and the light of her life.
Ann is survived by her loving husband, Mike Villers; daughters, Meghan Villers and Morgan Villers, both of Morgantown; sister, Susan Williamson (Danny) of Point Pleasant; mother-in-law, Kay Villers of Parkersburg; sisters-in-law, Debbie Villers of Parkersburg, and Pam Wardwell (JR) of Beckley; brother-in-law, Mark Villers (Tricia) of Marietta, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Chaplin Dennis Lusin. Burial will follow at Forks of Cheat Cemetery.
