Sodexo’s Big Soup event delivers chicken noodle to community kitchens

Sodexo, which provides the dining services at West Virginia University hosted a Big Soup event Tuesday, during which employees prepared 150 gallons of chicken noodle soup from scratch to deliver to area organizations.

The feat was accomplished with the help of a Nestle chef as part of Sodexo’s Stop Hunger initiative.

Organizations receiving soup were Salvation Army’s Hope Café, The Bartlett House, Ronald McDonald House Morgantown and Morgantown Community Kitchen.

This initiative is part of Sodexo’s ongoing efforts to Stop Hunger in several communities. Throughout this month, which is Sodexo’s annual Servathon campaign, employees have been volunteering at different area organizations to help eliminate food insecurity.
