Arnettsville Community Center announces summer events

Arnettsville Community Center, 4120 Fairmont Road, Morgantown, announced plans for summer events.

Arnettsville Farmers’ Market will open for the regular season from 3:30-6 p.m. June 5. Pop-up markets are also planned on May 22 and May 29 at the regular market time.

While the market will open with limited products, more will be available as the season progresses. The market welcomes both full-time and intermittent or part-time vendors.

On the third Monday of each month, starting June 19, the market will also include vendors with homemade crafts.

In the event of inclement weather on a market day, the market will be held in the gymnasium.

The center will host a Themed Basket Bingo at 6 p.m. June 24.

Some of the baskets that will be available are “Mad About Mickey,” which contains all things Mickey Mouse such as a pillow, a throw, a movie, a watch, Scentsy wall diffuser and pods, ornament, stickers and sunglasses; “In The Garden,” which contains a handmade garden stool, plastic pot, seed starter pots, flower seed packets, kneeling pad, garden stone, pruning shears, garden shovel, cultivator, spray nozzle, garden gloves, Miracle Grow potting soil and two gardening books; “Breakfast Basket,” which allows you to fix the perfect breakfast with a rotating waffle maker, glass batter bowl/measuring cup, Belgian waffle mix, strawberry syrup, Mrs. Butterworth syrup and a mixing spoon.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are now available for $20 at the community center in the library from noon-6 p.m. and from noon-3 p.m. Fridays. You can also call 304-278-9973 to make other arrangements. Payment can also be made through PayPal. Note that it is for a ticket to the bingo. You should select “Personal” or “Friends and Family.” If you pay online, a ticket can be held at the door.

At the bingo, there will also be a 21st game, raffles, 50/50 and concessions.
