Main Street Morgantown to host 2nd Arts Walk of ’23

Main Street Morgantown announced that the second Arts Walk of the year will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 13 in the heart of downtown Morgantown.

The city is full of art and artists ready to showcase their work. So, every month, Main Street Morgantown hosts the Arts Walk. They occur on second Saturdays, April to July and then shift to the second Fridays, August to October.

This free event is held in downtown Morgantown, primarily on High Street, where artists showcase and sell their art.

Arts Walk gives the city a chance to show everyone the many different sides of Morgantown’s art scene. This event is seen as a creative community street festival, where individuals can come together to celebrate and appreciate art, music and food.

The Arts Walk attracts a significant number of attendees, from all over the city and state. The streets are packed with activity and joy, as friends and families gather for a day filled with fun.

May Arts Walk 2023 will feature more than 40 artists from Morgantown and surrounding areas.

Main Street Morgantown is joined by the City of Morgantown, Monongalia County Commission, Morgantown Parking Authority and West Virginia University in making events like this possible throughout the year.
