In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Gaynelle (White) Hardesty in 2020; and his brothers, William Paul Hardesty and Harry Robert Hardesty.

A graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 17936 Veterans Memorial Highway in Kingwood, at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 7. Arrangements under the direction of Kingwood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Sam’s honor to the Preston County Humane Society, P.O. Box 395, Kingwood, WV 26537.
