Harry Lee Livengood, 68, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was the son of the late Junior “Fuzzy” and Shirley Jean Livengood.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Diana Weese Livengood; two sons, Charles (Angie) Livengood and Sam (Alison) Livengood; daughter, Misty (Dewayne) Getridge; stepson, Sean (Ashli) Gallagher; stepdaughter, Reay Gilmore; son-in-law, Robert Gilmore Jr; brother, Terry (Terri) Livengood; two sisters, Sheena (Dave) Gerard and Joretta Seaman; his beloved grandchildren, Rachel (T.J.) Elchuck, Amy Gilmore, Samantha Livengood, Haley and Aiden Livengood, Sean Thomas and Scot Gallagher, Austin (Ally) Merrbaugh, Travis (Sara) Merrbaugh and Kristen (Zack) Sayre; as well as six great-grandchildren.
Harry worked as an equipment operator for the Division of Highways for over 30 years until his retirement. He was the type of man who liked to have a good time and could usually be found listening to classic rock or playing it on his guitar or keyboard. Harry enjoyed spending time with his friends, or “politicking” as he called it, and his grandchildren.
A graveside gathering will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at noon on Monday, April 3, where he will be laid to rest. Immediately following, family and friends are invited to join together at St. Mary’s Church in the Peace Hall to celebrate Harry’s life the way he would have wanted it.
