Edna Booher

Edna Eleanor Booher, 83, has slipped away from the pains of this life and went to be with her Lord on March 31, 2023, at her residence. Her Heavenly Father has called her to join family and friends that have been waiting patiently for her arrival. Rejoice that her passing was peaceful and she was surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on May 13, 1937, in Doddridge County, the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Ross, of West Union.

She was a longtime member of the Peters Creek Baptist Church before her move to the Morgantown area to be closer to family. Edna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many lives, having never met a stranger wherever she was, always willing to lend a hand to those in need, especially if children were involved. In her lifetime, she touched many starting in West Union, Johnstown, Pa., Sistersville, Bethel Park, Pa. and finally in Morgantown.

Edna is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Donald Kenneth Booher, with daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Richard Deaner, of Morgantown, and daughter, Donna Booher, of Gassaway. Her grandchildren are Robert Caleb Cline and his fiancé, Ali Carder, of Clarksburg, Richard Donald Deaner, of Grandy N.C., Renae Dyann and Larry Di Lorenzo, of Morgantown, along with a great-grandson Justin Deaner, who made her life extra special. She is also survived by a sister, Carol Stowe, of Sebring, Ohio.

Edna was preceded in passing by her brothers, Edwin, Ira, Scott, John and Joe Ross. along with sisters, Goldie Underwood, Frankie Leggett, Margie Arnold and Linda Ross.

The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the Harmony Staff, Village Caregivers and Amedisys Hospice for their support of our family.
