Virtual educational platforms offered to students in W.Va

Montgomery Preparatory Academy announced and expansion of the school’s virtual classes and online programming for the 2023-24 school year to 6th through 12th graders across West Virginia.

The school system is globally corporate accredited with Cognia/SACS CASI. This learning system allows students to work at their own pace, with the ability to advance beyond grade levels and make up credits with recovery classes.

The virtual program includes live online teachers, one-on-one tutoring and open communication with full staff support. All the benefits of a private school, it is now available to the public at no extra cost through HOPE Scholarship.

Scholarship applications for West Virginia students must be submitted to wvhopescholarship.com before May 15 for the 2023-24 school year.

“We want to engage students at all levels of learning. Our programs have proven to benefit students who are behind, bullied, or have specific learning needs not addressed in the current school system, as well as those who are accelerated learners but are being held back in a normal school setting,” said Misty McCune, dean of students. “We’re passionate about providing better educational opportunities for families, and we want to expand our on-campus successes throughout West Virginia.”

President and co-founder of the virtual school, Daniel Puder, said, “We look to support students to learn how to learn, create a vision for life and live on purpose.”
