SteppingStones hosts art festival for kids with disabilities

Despite the dreary skies on Thursday, the arts were there to brighten the day for hundreds of area children.

SteppingStones hosted its 2023 Arts Festival at Mylan Park -- the first time for the event in two years, having been shut down by the COVID pandemic. The gathering was sponsored by Mon Health Systems and brought school-age children with disabilities to Morgantown to share in a variety activities.

SteppingStones is a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide high-quality, year-round recreation and personal development opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. Its programs include Miracle League Baseball, basketball, soccer, Miracle Golf, Miss Ability Pageant, summer/day camps, art and craft classes, computer classes, aquatic programs and a variety of holiday parties and social events.
