Despite the dreary skies on Thursday, the arts were there to brighten the day for hundreds of area children.
SteppingStones hosted its 2023 Arts Festival at Mylan Park — the first time for the event in two years, having been shut down by the COVID pandemic. The gathering was sponsored by Mon Health Systems and brought school-age children with disabilities to Morgantown to share in a variety activities.
SteppingStones is a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide high-quality, year-round recreation and personal development opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. Its programs include Miracle League Baseball, basketball, soccer, Miracle Golf, Miss Ability Pageant, summer/day camps, art and craft classes, computer classes, aquatic programs and a variety of holiday parties and social events.
