Jean Ann Sproull, 76, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, with her loving husband, John, of 47 years by her side. Jean was born on Sept. 20, 1946, a daughter of the late Chester and Marguerite Henry Straight.
Jean was a member of Mount Calvary Assembly of God. Jean loved Jesus, her husband John, her family, her church family, babies and puppies; in that order. She was kind, generous and spunky. She also enjoyed singing and shopping. Jean was one of a kind. Things in her life didn’t always turn out the way she’d hoped, but she always persevered, no matter the challenge.
Jean is survived by her husband, John Sproull, whom she married April 3, 1976; sister, Ellen Herring, of Wernersville, Pa.; brothers, Gary Straight, of Wilmington, Ohio, and Glen Straight, of Morgantown; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Nicole, Karen, Suzy, Tina, Diane, Linda, Darcus, Blessing, Bob, Abby and Maria for all of their love and care.
A graveside service will be held at Beverly Hills Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 17 , with Pastor Johnny Whitehair officiating.
A memorial service and dinner will be held at a later date.
