Deborah Louise (Sanders) Strickler, 69, of Maidsville, passed away Friday March 10, 2023, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 22, 1954, in Waynesburg, Pa., daughter of the late Rowland B. and Gladys G. Hughes Sanders.
She worked for Gabriel Brothers in Morgantown.
She was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research, The 700 Club and the Holocaust Child Survivor fund.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Joseph W. “Bud” Strickler; one son, Eric Stickler, of Morgantown; and two daughters, Rachel Strickler, of Preston County, and Michella Strickler, of Morgantown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Strickler, Mikayla Strickler, Trever McCarty and Logan McCarty and also four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may join the family to honor Deborah’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care 108 Holland Ave. Westover/Morgantown, from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15. Immediately following the funeral service, interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris, Pa.
