Richard Powroznik, 71, of Masontown, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Morgantown on May 19, 1951, a son of the late Stephen Paul Powroznik and Eudora Arlene (Reese) Powroznik.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Richard was a lifetime member of the St. Zita Catholic Church in Masontown.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sara Powroznik, of Masontown; three sons, Chad Powroznik, of Reedsville, Richie Powroznik and wife Nicole, of Masontown, and Clint Brummage and wife April, of Spraggs, Pa.; two daughters, Ann Marie Powroznik, of Masontown and Ashley Powroznik, of Nevada; one brother, Steve Powroznik and wife Linda, of New Mexico; and grandchildren, Makayla Bell, Connar Bell, Lane Powroznik, Daxton Powroznik, Kash Brummage, Maddox Brummage and Hayden Cecil.
In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his first wife, Shawnea Powroznik, and a sister, Sharon DuPont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Zita Catholic Church in Masontown at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, with Father Dominic Athishu as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the Masontown Cemetery.
