Ronald Ross Minor, 81, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 5:47 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, in the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown.
He was born Saturday, May 10, 1941, in Mount Morris, Pa. A son of the late Bailey Minor and Hazel Patterson Minor. Ron was a lifetime resident of Mount Morris, Pa.
He was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Brock, Pa. and a member of the Mount Morris Lions Club having served as treasurer of both. He spent as much time as he could working and keeping up the family farm. Ron was a Perry Twp. Supervisor for 24 years retiring in 2001.
Surviving is the mother of his children, Martha Wright Minor, of Lippencott, Pa. Also surviving are two sons, Jason Minor and his wife Katie, of Mount Morris, Pa., and Justin Minor and his wife Christa, of Mount Morris, Pa.; four grandchildren, Austin and his wife Julie Minor, Dallas Minor and his girlfriend Breanne Vickers, Jackson Minor and Seth Carmody; one sister, Wretha Haines, of Ohio; one sister-in-law, June Minor, of Mount Morris, Pa.; three brothers, Blaine Minor and his wife Thelma, of Florida; his twin, Donald Minor and his wife Delores, of Georgia, and Bill Minor and his wife Jackie, of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is one brother, Francis Minor.
Friends will be received in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. 324 Mount Morris Road, P.O. Box 478 Mount Morris, PA 15349, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, with Pastor Monica Calvert officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, Pa.
