Spark! offering Early Explorers Program

Bring your youngest scientists to Spark! Imagination and Science Center’s Early Explorers Program from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 17 for another installment of the program for kids up to age 4 years old and their caregivers.

“Doing science looks different at different ages,” said Julie Bryan, executive director of Spark. “In Early Explorers, our youngest visitors will have the opportunity to engage with science at an age-appropriate level, learning science process skills such as exploring, making observations, using tools, making predictions and measuring.”

February’s Early Explorers, Magnetism will allow visitors to explore, observe and discover how magnets work through a variety of hands-on experiments. Spark’s Facebook page will be updated with dates and themes for future Early Explorers programs.

Participation in Early Explorers is included with general admission, which is $5 per person, children under 12 months visit for free. No reservation is required, just drop by to explore.

Early Explorers was funded through a grant made possible through a collaborative effort between YCF and the Arts Council of Greater Morgantown, with funding from the City of Morgantown, the Monongalia County Commission and the Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the Arts.
