Thelma JoAnn Kisner Coger, 87, entered her eternal home in heaven on Jan. 28, 2023. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her daughters and their families.

She was born in Norton, on Oct. 26, 1935, the daughter of Cecil and Thelma Powers Kisner.

She is survived by her four daughters, Jeanne Burton (Allen), of Leonardtown, Md., Linda Diane Pauley, of Greensboro, Pa., Donna Darlene Triplett (Rick) of Pursglove, and Barbara “B.J.” Brown (Mike), of Maidsville. She has 11 grandchildren, 22, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several extended great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janette Conrad, of Barberton, Ohio, and Judy Bennett (Grant), of Doylestown, Ohio; and one sister-in-law, Trina Kisner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” Coger; one infant daughter, Cathy Louise Coger; two grandsons, Jarred Triplett and Matthew Robert Triplett; one great-grandson, Landen Joseph Scott; son-in-law, Frank Pauley, and five brothers, June, Bob, Jackie, Tommy and Gary Kisner.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, and again from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 with Pastor Debbie Triplett officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care to all moms, nurses and aides. She loved and enjoyed their visits very much. Our family is so thankful to have had such wonderful care for our beautiful mother. Thank you so much.
