Raymond “Jay” Jolliffe, 60, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Morgantown on Sept. 6, 1962, to Elizabeth Ardella Bucklew Jolliffe-Aitken and Richard M. Jolliffe, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his special “Dad,” James David Aitken; and his half-sister JoDell Trotto.
Jay worked for Davis Kitchen and Tile as an installer, and he previously worked as a master carpenter for several different contractors in the Morgantown and surrounding areas.
Jay is survived by his only son, Dustin Ray Jolliffe; his stepmother, Gloria Jolliffe; his stepdaughter and grandson, Casey Gillis and Khale Gillis; his brother, Richard “D.J.” Jolliffe (Petra); stepsisters, Karen Polce (Joe), Karla Bolyard (Glenn) and Mary Jolliffe; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jay’s life will be scheduled in the near future to share in his memory.
