
Ralph Eugene Massullo, 90, of Beverly Hills, Fla., and formerly of Morgantown, passed away to meet his Lord and Savior on Jan. 3, 2023, at his home under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice. Ralph was born on Feb. 7, 1932, in Morgantown, to Domenick and Raphael (Vendeta) Massullo. After graduating from Saint Francis de Sales High School in 1950, he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. During his service, he was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and was deployed to Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Ralph was a well-respected entrepreneur in Morgantown, where he was involved in several retail and real estate ventures. He helped start Massullo’s Cleaners and Tailors and was also one of the founders of The National Bank of West Virginia. He semi-retired and moved to Citrus County, Fla., in 1993. He began working with his son, Ralph E Massullo Jr. M.D., at Suncoast Dermatology in Lecanto, Fla. until he fully retired shortly after his 90th birthday. Ralph was a member of the VFW Post #9616 in Morgantown, the Sons of Italy-Loggia La Vittoria #914, Morgantown Elks Lodge #411, and the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Massullo; children, Ralph E. Massullo Jr. and his wife Patty, Rita Massullo, Renee Massullo-Jones and her husband Zeke and Ricky Massullo and his wife Vickie; as well as Jacqueline’s sons, John G. Dristiliaris and his wife Megan and Gregory D. Dristiliaris and his wife Allison; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife, Isabella Barber Massullo; a brother, Carl Massullo; and two sisters, Mary Louise Rosati and Patricia Kinder.
Visitation will be held at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, Fla., from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, Fla. Burial will take place at the Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
