Bobby Radabaugh

Bobby Lee Radabaugh, 92, of Arthurdale, was born on June 6, 1930, in Masontown. He passed away at home on Dec. 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Cameron Hyson and Opal (Harned) Radabaugh, original homesteaders of historic Arthurdale, moving there in 1936. During World War II, at age 15, he began driving truck on local back roads. At age 17 he bought his first truck. Beginning then, he became dedicated to the trucking business, later forming, along with his wife and sons, Radabaugh Trucking Inc.

Having bought their home in 1953, at the time of his death, he had lived in Arthurdale longer than any resident. Bob was married on Dec. 4, 1949, to the love of his life, the former Maxine Menear. They were blessed with five children: Robert Wayne (Rebecca), David Dennis (Ellen), Karen Sue Sanderson (Wayne), Camilla Jo Henry (Bradley) and Roger Lee (Gina); grandchildren: Frances Eisenhofer, Lori Poling, Bryan and Jeremy Radabaugh, Kerri Bogers, Justin, Zachary and Tyler Sanderson, Leah Darr, Rachel Humberson, Tim Henry, Carma Maier, Cameron Radabaugh and Joe Todesko; two step-grandsons, Scott and Beau Frum; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Elbert and Hazel (Menear) Brown; brother, Paul (Martha) Liston; sisters, Pauline (Jim) Davis, Kathleen (Robert) Johns, Juanita (Wade) Taylor, Maxine (Gerald) Zinn; and a great-grandson.

Having seldom left his home or becoming involved in other activities, he had not learned about the love of God. During his illness, with his wife, family and the dedication of pastor Lisa Fox, he accepted Jesus Christ and his sacrifice. Telling his wife that he was ready to go and wanted her to go with him.

Visitation will be at Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday Dec. 16, with a private family service at a later date. Interment will be held at the Arthurdale cemetery.
