
JoAnn Toth, 83, of Star City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at Mon Health Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Luchok) Toth.
She was a life long resident of Morgantown and member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She was a 1957 graduate of Morgantown High School and worked for Smyth Lumber and Delbert M. Bowers Insurance for many years.
She is survived by her siblings, Charles Toth and his wife Larissa, Ellen McCabe and her husband John and Bob Toth and his wife Sharon; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Toth and Carole Toth; brothers-in-law, Ed Hoholick; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, John Toth, Rose Mary Orosz-Hoholick, Michael Toth and Ronald Toth.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The Panachida service will be recited in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday to conclude the evening’s visitation. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 2115 Listravia Ave., Morgantown, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14 with Father James Fraser officiating.
Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
