Delmas Mayle

Delmas Edward “Falcon Eddie” Mayle, 68, of Valley Bend, formerly of Webster Community, passed away at his home on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. He was born March 7, 1954, in Grafton, son of the late Wilbert “Webb” and Amanda “Satt” Mayle, Eddie is survived by his wife, Joyce Weese Mayle whom he married Aug. 27, 2010, spending over 12 years together.

Eddie retired after working 31 years for WVU Utilities Management Department. He was a collector of antiques, Fenton glass, hats, WVU sports memorabilia, motor cycles and old cars. He enjoyed listening to Motown music. Eddie was a real Mountaineer sports fan. He had a smile that could light up a room and could talk to anyone as if they were friends forever. Eddie loved his dogs, Pepper, T, Ollie and Bittie. He loved his family with everything in him and enjoyed the time he spent with each of them as they made memories together. He will be greatly missed by all of them and all that knew him.

Eddie is survived by seven children: Lisa Trickett (Eric), of Bridgeport, Eric Trickett, of Oak Grove, Renee Harasanian Raikes, of Bridgeport, Gloria Mayle, of Morgantown, Edward Mario Mayle (Rachael), of Grafton, Gina Campbell (Mike), of St. Augustine, Fla., John Croston and Laura Lanham (Joshua), both of Valley Bend; grandchildren, Justin and Bree, Derek and Courtney, Erika and Bobby, Taylor and Nick, Hunter and Maddie, Little Gabriel, Penelope, Maximus, Xavier, Joelee and Jozlin; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Parker and Betty Calhoun (Larry), both of Michigan; a special close friend, Charlie Haller; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to Eddie’s parents, he was preceded in death by his loving first wife, Barbara Harasanian Mayle; one brother, Jim Mayle; one sister, Marilyn Lawrence; a sister-in-law, Peggy Miracle; and three nephews, Joey Mayle, Denny Mayle and Dana Mayle.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 7, with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the West Hill Cemetery. Bartlett Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mayle family.
