Edgar Snyder

Edgar Clay “Milkman” Snyder, 95, of Kingwood, went home to his Lord and Savior on Nov. 6, 2022, with family by his side. Edgar was born on April 11, 1927, in Albright, to Henry Clay Snyder and Ruth Pearl Mayfield Snyder. He was a member of the Albright Baptist Church.

He is survived by one brother, Donald (Mary) Snyder, of Kingwood; two sisters, Tillie Wolf, of Reedsville, and Rebecca Currie, of Warren, Ohio; six children: Debra Hogge, of Dallas, Dale (JoAnn) Martin, of Reedsville, Jack Martin, of Texas, Virginia (Ron) Martin, of Phoenix, Nancy (Bob) Ord, of Reedsville, and Edgar Snyder II, of Beaufort, S.C.; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, two siblings, Pauline Durst and Allison Snyder, and two wives, Nancy Martin and Jan Snyder.

Visitation at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. The funeral service will be in the Albright Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 with Pastor Joe Lamm officiating. Masonic graveside service will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Kingwood. Fellowship and a meal will follow at the Kingwood Community Building. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Schwarzenberg and Amedisys Hospice.
