Kay C. Burnette, 80, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at the Oakland Nursing and Rehab Center in Oakland, Md., following a lengthy illness. Born Sept. 3, 1942, in Morgantown, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Irene (Barnes) Johnson.
She was a faithful member of the Covenant Baptist Church in Uniontown, Pa. and had formerly worked as a waitress in Morgantown area restaurants.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Burnette; two brothers, Jere Johnson, of Ohio, and James M. Johnson, of Cheat Lake; three sisters, Connie Perkins, of Ohio, Vera Jean Huffman, of Morgantown, and Bernice Crabtree, of Arizona; and a number of nieces, nephews and Burnette family relatives.
Deceased is one sister, Linda Choma.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and from noon until the 1 p.m. hour of service on Friday. Interment follows in Fletcher Cemetery, Cheat Lake.
