Jane Deusenberry

Jane Antonelli Deusenberry, 95, of Sherwood Street, Star City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at home surrounded by her family after an 11 year battle with cancer.

Jane was born in Masontown, Pa., on May 21, 1927, daughter of the late Ernest and Irene Bartley Antonelli. She married the late Douglas Deusenberry on May 22, 1948.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Star City.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was an avid bowler and played with her team, the Dragonflies. She loved to travel and visit new places. Her family was most important to her, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Deusenberry and wife Kim, of Grafton, Cindy Miranov and husband Steve, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Aaron Miranov and wife Angela, of Morgantown, Rob Miranov and wife Ashley, of Masontown, April Singleton and husband Joshua, of Grafton, and Derek Deusenberry and wife Christina, of Grafton; great-grandchildren: Ava Miranov, Ayla Miranov, Emelia Singleton, Clark Singleton, Abigail Deusenberry and Bailey Deusenberry; and sister, Rita Hawkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas; several aunts and uncles; her great-grandson Lance Burke Singleton; and several extended family members.

Jane’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Thomas Hogan, Dr. Anthony Marcucci, Judy Yednock and WV Caring for the exceptional care and kindness they provided to both Jane and the family.

Friends and family will be received, at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Star City, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28. Visitation will continue from noon until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 with Father John DiBacco as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
