CNX Foundation from CNX Natural Gas presented checks to three Volunteer fire departments Thursday.
The event took place at Wadestown VFD in Wana and included a luncheon.
The funds went to Wadestown and Blacksville VFDs in Monongalia County and to Hundred VFD in Wetzel County.
The funds will help these volunteer fire departments provide assistance to their local communities.
Neighbors who serve as fire, police and emergency personnel are often unsung community heroes who protect and serve.
CNX Foundation's team from Pittsburgh presented the checks and shared information about plans in the area and future natural gas well sites.
