Mary Gamble

Mary E. Gamble, 74, of Kingwood, passed away at Stonerise of Kingwood on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, to join the love of her life, on what would have been her and Charles’ 56th wedding anniversary.

Mary was born in Kingwood, on Aug. 16, 1948, a daughter of the late James R. “Doc” and Cloe Etta “Blondie” (Jenkins) Titchnell.

She lit up a room when she entered and was always ready for a hug before she left. She will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to have her as family or a very dear friend.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She volunteered for many years at Stonerise of Kingwood, formerly Heartland, with her special sister-in-law and partner-in-crime, Dora “Tootsie” Nicholson.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Gina Turner and husband Sam, of Masontown; a son, Scott Gamble and wife Stephanie, of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Tai Forman, Amber and Aaron Riley and Dylan Gamble; four great-grandchildren Kylei, Rayna, Bentley and Abigail; three sisters and spouses, Marie Sites, Beulah and Robert Gamble and Alice Gamble, all of Herring; three brothers and spouses, Willard “Joe” and Brenda Titchnell, Dyer “Bud” Titchnell and Francis E. Titchnell, all of Herring; one stepbrother, Kenneth Titchnell, of Grafton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Edgar Gamble and two brothers, Harley Painter “Pete” Titchnell and James “Buck” Titchnell.

Friends and family may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, and from noon until the 2 p.m. service time on Friday, Oct. 28, with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown.

Family would like to extend a special thank you to the Drs. and staff of Stonerise of Kingwood for the excellent care she received.
