David Molisee

David “Davy” Molisee Jr., 77, of Masontown, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Masontown, on Dec. 27, 1944, a son of the late David Marion Molisee and Arlene Virginia (Casseday) Molisee.

Davy was a retired coal miner. He loved hunting, fishing, working on cars and trucks and tinkering on anything he could in his garage. He loved playing guitar and picking his banjo. He taught so many how to play guitar.

Davy is survived by his nephew and niece, Nathan Long and Amanda, of Masontown; their children; Adriana “Pipsqueak,” Nathan and David Long; his sisters, Judy Taylor and husband Printiss, Diane Spiker and husband Bill, Lora Hall and companion John, Sherry Roush and Husband Jim and Kathy Davis and husband Johnny; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, and from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of service on Friday, Oct. 7. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Masontown.
