A 2 car accident happened on Fairmont Road near Cold Springs road early Monday afternoon when a truck and car (background) collided resulting in traffic reduced to one lane. One person was transported to area hospital. Mon Sheriff , Mon EMS Westover VFD responded.

An accident involving a car and a pickup truck on Cold Spring Road -- a small road off U.S. 19 near Arnettsville left one person injured.
Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department officials said the accident was reported at 1:24 p.m. on Monday.
One victim was transported to Mon Health Medical Center for minor injuries.
The sheriff’s department is investigating the cause of the accident.
