William Frederick “Fred” Hartman, 55, of Maidsville, passed away on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at his home. He was born March 22, 1967, in Morgantown, a son of the late Lonnie and Wanda Hunt Hartman.
Fred worked most of his life, alongside his brother, at Hartman and Son’s Construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. He liked watching football and cheering on his beloved Miami Dolphins. Most of all, he cherished listening to good music, especially Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Misty Hartman; son, Frederick “Freddie” Hartman; sisters, Shirley Wagner, Gloira Stout and Brenda Hartman; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie “Butch” Hartman Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Veronica Hartman.
The family will receive friends at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, with Pastor John Wagner officiating. Following the service, Fred’s wishes for cremation will be honored.
