20-year financial services veteran to join Huntington Private Bank

Huntington Bank announced the appointment of local financial advisor Thomas J. Begley, a certified financial planner, to the West Virginia private bank team.

In his new role, Begley, now a senior client advisor, is responsible for delivering wealth management services to Huntington customers in north-central West Virginia. With over 20 years in financial services, Begley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the West Virginia private bank team.

“We’re incredibly happy to have Tom join us here in the north-central West Virginia region,” said Mike Morris, private bank regional director. “Both his clients and colleagues will benefit from this transition.”

West Virginia regional President Chad Prather expects Begley’s background to further enhance the capabilities of private bank.

“We welcomed Tom back to West Virginia in 2020, and his experience in financial planning and wealth management has helped add value to existing client relationships,” Prather said. “We are certainly grateful he’s chosen to return to Morgantown and share his expertise with our
community.”

Active in the community, Begley is a member of West Virginia University’s Greek Life Hall of Fame and maintains a close relationship with his fraternity Pi Kappa Phi on both a local and national level.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to be part of Huntington Private Bank here in north-central West Virginia,” Begley said. “In my mind, there are so many families, business owners and executives in our state who are not aware of how our wealth management team can help them identify their financial goals and then map out a strategy to achieve those goals.”

A 1993 WVU graduate, Begley returned to Morgantown in 2020 after spending 23 years in Nashville. He and his partner, Julie, have five children.
