Iona Glover

Iona Mavis “Mazie” Glover passed away on Aug. 6, 2022. She was born in Grantsville, on June 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Sam S. Hall and Freda I. (Langford) Hall.

Mazie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Arthur (Wayne) Glover; son, Gregory Glover and daughter-in-law Joan, of Whitehall, Pa.; daughter, Anne Boone and son-in-law David, of Morgantown; daughter, Jeanne Glover and son-in-law Ken Ashton, of Morgantown; and two cherished granddaughters, Lt. Col. Julie Glover and fiancé Ashley England, of Poquoson, Va., and Megan Boone, of Washington D.C. She is also survived by her brother, Ray S. Hall, of Delaware; sister, Grace Moore (Harry), of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mazie was preceded in death by siblings, Wilbur Hall, James Hall, Madeline Hendershot, Gladys Yost and Anita Simpson.

Mazie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the BOPARC Kitchenaire Band for several years. She enjoyed reading, shopping, working crossword puzzles, going to yard sales and baking and decorating for every holiday. She was an accomplished, ribbon-winning quilter, giving them to family, friends and non-profit organizations. Even upon her death, she continued to be a caring and giving person by donating her body to the Human Gift Registry.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the Staff at Sundale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they provided to her.
