Eleanor Stevens

Eleanor Elizabeth Stevens, 88, of Morgantown passed away at Sundale Nursing Home with her loving family by her bedside. Eleanor was born in Preston County, on March 9, 1934, to the late Charles Ringer and Catherine Hartman Ringer.

Eleanor spent her life caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, loving and supportive mother and doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved by many.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Karen Austin and husband Rick and Marjorie Kelly and husband Mike; son, David Stevens and wife Sherri, all of Morgantown; grandchildren: Michelle Austin Southern and husband David, Richie Austin and wife Anita, Vaneesa Lynn Cralton and husband Aaron, Cassie Marie Tudek and husband John and Kaleb Michael Kelly and wife Marilyn; and great-grandchildren: Brayden Cralton, Aubrey Cralton, Oliver Kelly, Sarah Southern, Jacob Southern and Caleb Austin; sister, Wilma Sirk; and special nursing home friend, Mildred Fizer.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Rawley Stevens; one son, Ronald Lee Stevens; one grandson, Steven Matthew Austin; sisters, Gail Cowen, Ellen Lewis, Margaret Sirk and Lillian Dixon; and two brothers, Bud Ringer and Harry Ringer.

Family and friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, Aug. 16, with Pastor David Hood officiating. Eleanor will be buried alongside her husband, Luther, and near her son, Ronnie, at Eden Cemetery.
