James Edward “Jim” Neville, 55, of Westover, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home. Jim was born in Morgantown on May 27, 1967, a son of Linda Newbraugh Neville, of Westover, and the late George “Ed” Neville.
Jim helped his dad manage the family business, Service Plus Optical, until his career moved him to Swanson Industries where he worked for many years. Most recently, Jim worked as a CVS pharmaceutical courier.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed coaching baseball, golfing and cheering on the Mountaineers and Pirates. He also enjoyed boating and spending time at the river, where he was a member of the Little Falls Boat Club. His greatest pastime was spent with family, especially his time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his sons, Jordan Neville (Malia), Josh Neville (Kelsea Martin) and Jace Neville (Serena), all of Morgantown; grandchildren, River, Raelin, Ridge and Haven Neville; sister, Lori (John) Hunt; special niece and nephew, Carley (Alex) and Brody Hunt; aunt, Judy Haught; cousins, Steve and Scott Haught; and mother of his children, Kellie Sheridan.
Friends may gather at Kingdom: A Community Church, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. service on Monday, July 25, with the Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road Morgantown, WV 26501, to offset funeral expenses.
Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services.
