Sean Loughrie

Sean Emery Loughrie CPA, 35, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed peacefully into the arms of God with his family by his side at Memorial Hosptial in Jacksonville, Fla. God had healed him many times in his life, as he had Cystic Fibrosis and was considered to be our miracle many times. He was born April 23, 1988, in Kingwood, to Teresa (Loughrie) Lovejoy and Alfred James Roessler Jr.

He attended Webster Headstart, Pruntytown Elementary, Fellowsville Elementary, Taylor County Middle School, Grafton High School and graduated from University High School in 2004.

He played T-ball and Little League, attended several math field days and received blue ribbon in his Social Studies Fair. In high school he played football.

He attended M-Tech’s two year auto mechanics course and represented Morgantown in state competition.

He attended and graduated West Virginia University College of Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting on May 15, 2011.

He was employed as a tax auditor for the state of West Virginia.

He moved to Jacksonville, Fla. and got a job with Richard Rust CPA PA.

Sean was a concealed weapon licensed carrier, a member of Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club, a USCCA member and a lifetime NRA member.

Sean helped people unconditionally in several ways in his life, and in death, he became an organ donor.
Sean is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Franklin D. Loughrie; maternal great-grandparents, Emerson and Odessa Wolfe, of Tunnelton, and John and Freeda Loughrie, of Rowlesburg; paternal grandparents, Alfred James and Nancy Roessler; and one brother, Chad Douglas Roessler.

Sean is survived by his parents, Teresa (Loughrie) and Dean Lovejoy, of Kingwood, and Alfred and Theresa Roessler, of Amhurst, Ohio; grandmother, Anita Loughrie, of Tunnelton; two brothers, Chris and Mary Phillips, of Morgantown, and Jamie and Natoya Phillips; four sisters, Heather (Roessler) Steed, Gretchen Roessler, of Amhurst, Ohio, April and Jamie Purdy, of Parma, Ohio, and Theressa Beth Murray, of Fairmont; and several special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service was held at Hope Church, 519 Hornbeck Road, Morgantown, WV 26508, from noon-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 28.
