Beatrice Trickett

Beatrice Mae Trickett, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Stonerise Nursing Home in Beckley. She was born on Sept. 17, 1930, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Earl D. Trickett and Nellie Eddy Trickett.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. Trickett and wife Thelma, of Westover, as well as her sister, Thelma Trickett Jarrell and husband Hollis, of Roanoke.

Beatrice is survived by a sister, Doris Trickett Webb, of Naoma; three nieces, Carolyn Clevenger, of Morgantown, Debbie (Larry) Webb, of Arnett, and Valerie (Tim) Bonds, of Rock Creek. She is also survived by many great-nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Ms. Trickett was a 1948 graduate of Morgantown High School. After which, she worked several jobs before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1953 until 1958. She later joined the U.S. Air Force Reserve at Rickenbacker Air Force Base. She continued to serve her country until she retired in September of 1990 as a master sergeant. She then moved to Roanoke, where she was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending most of her time bowling and traveling.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Friday, May 27, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center at 1 Medical Center Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
