Morgantown ReStore to host Spring Fling to help build local homes

From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Morgantown ReStore will host its second Spring Fling event. The first 100 customers will receive a 10% off coupon for that day’s purchase. In addition, there will free fun and activities for all ages.

Local residents can give their gently used goods a second life and help reduce waste in landfills by donating excess household items to Morgantown ReStore. Whether it is to make room for a new chair or a brand new kitchen, Habitat ReStore accepts items ranging from building materials to home furnishings.

Items can be donated at 1825 Earl L. Core Road, Morgantown, or Habitat ReStore will pick up donations from homes or businesses, making donating items quick and easy.

Donations allow Habitat ReStore to resell high-quality items at a lower price, providing families in the community with an affordable option to furnish their homes. Proceeds are used to build, rehabilitate and repair more homes locally and globally and to help work toward Habitat for Humanity’s vision of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

“Every item donated and sold at Habitat ReStore plays a vital role in improving lives of families in need of better housing,” said Michael Richard, Executive Director of Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity “With the support of loyal donors and shoppers, we will continue to generate additional proceeds to further our mission.”

Morgantown ReStore relies heavily on the generosity of donors in the community. For information on how to arrange a pickup, call the Morgantown ReStore donation line at 304-291-2991.
