After a two-year hiatus, Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center will be hosting its 14th annual fundraising event, Girls’ Night Out 2022: Night Out at the Tropics.
The event will be from 6-10 p.m. May 20 at Tropics in Cheat Lake.
Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center (MCCAC) advocates for children who have been abused or encountered other significant adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in Monongalia County by providing a collaborative and child-friendly environment where children and their families can be interviewed, educated and healed.
MCCAC provides three free resiliency building services: forensic interviews, family advocacy and therapy. The center has been doing so since 2005. In 2021, it provided clinical services to 659 individuals.
Girls’ Night Out has been the main fundraiser for the Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center for many years. It is an opportunity for the community to come together to not only have a fun night, but also raise funds for this cause. All proceeds from this event will go to MCCAC and directly benefit children and families who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other adverse experiences in Monongalia County.
Girls’ Night Out 2022 will begin with a social hour, where guests can enjoy free pampering providers, mingle, bid on silent auction items and sign up for raffle baskets.
There will be a cash bar with dinner featuring a Hawaiian buffet. After dinner, there will be a program with speakers and a live auction.
The evening will conclude with a live band, Casanova & The Divas Band & Show from Pennsylvania.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at Eventbrite.com or payment can be sent to or dropped off at Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center, 909 Green Bag Road, Morgantown, WV.
Early Bird tickets are available until Friday at $75 each. Tickets then will be $100 each.
Tickets will also be available to purchase at the door. One ticket includes dinner, entertainment, pampering providers and access to the cash bar, live auction and raffle items.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available until May 11. If you are interested in sponsoring this event or have any questions, contact Taylor Shultz at MCCAC at 304-598-0344 or tshultz@moncocac.org.
