Ken Price

The Rev. Ken Price, of Morgantown, died May 4, 2022, after an extended illness. Born Sept. 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Junior Price and Zelda “Kitty” Jones Price Elkins.

Pastor Ken was an associate member of the United Methodist Church and served several churches, primarily in southern West Virginia, and as chaplin at Glenwood Retirement Village. He is a graduate of Bluefield College and completed the divinity course of studies at Duke University. He retired after 32 years of ministry.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, the Rev. Roy N Elkins; brothers, Fred and Lundy Elkins; and his grandson, Carson Gore.

Ken is survived by his wife, Ann Gore Price; daughter, Heather Richmond; sons, Michael (Melanie) Gore and Thomas (Wendy) Gore; beloved grandchildren, Hayden and Brenlyn Richmond and Addyson, Grayson and Connar Gore; brothers, Larry Elkins, David (Diane) Price and Jeffery (Delores) Elkins; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Carr Memorial United Methodist Church, Princeton, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, with the Rev. Ray Stonestreet and the Rev. Gordon McBride presiding. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.

Private interment will be at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
