Spring Festival in the Arboretum

The WVU Core Arboretum will host its Spring Flower Festival from 2-6 p.m. Saturday in the lawn area (inside Guthrie Loop Trail, near parking lot).

This is a family-friendly free event and open to all.

Parking is nearby and free in the WVU Coliseum parking lot.

There will be wildflower tours through the spring flower patch, live music at the woodland amphitheater, nature activities and lawn games as well as food trucks in the Arboretum parking lot.

The 2022 WVU Core Arboretum Spring Flower Festival is supported by WVU Department of Biology, WVU Core Arboretum Endowment, WVU Center for Service and Learning and recent donations to the Arboretum.

In addition to Saturday’s festival, there are wildflower walks Sunday, as well as April 17.

There will be bird walks April 19, 24 and 26, and May 3, 10 and 17.

There are four time slots for each flower walk. Registration and more information is on the arboretum website: arboretum.wvu.edu.

Spring bird walks start at 7:30 a.m. and are sponsored and led by Mountaineer Audubon. All events are free and open to the public.
