Helping teens keep tradition

Christian Help traveled the county this week to help area teens getting ready for a spring tradition — high school proms.

The agency took more than 150 dresses, suits, shoes and accessories to University High School Thursday, where young men and ladies could find free attire for their school’s big dance.

Christian Help was at Clay-Battelle and Morgantown high schools earlier this week for its annual Prom Chic events.

Next week, Christian Help will hold its three-day Spring and Summer Consignment Sale.

Check out the merchandise March 31-April 1 at the West Virginia National Guard Readiness Center.

Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. March 31-April 1 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. April 2.

Christian Help, located on Walnut Street in downtown Morgantown, “responds to situations of emergency and need, with immediacy and simplicity respecting the dignity of all persons in the spirit of Jesus Christ.” The agency has served the Morgantown community since 1975.
