Sally K. Cool Riffle Tonkin, 73, of Fitzgerald, Ga. (formerly of Hagans), went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Pruitt Nursing Home in Ocilla, Ga.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1948, in Morgantown. She was the daughter of Lola Mae Kucish and Tony Kucish (Homer Preston Cool — father).
She worked at Grady Memorial Hospital, Cairo, Ga. and Health South Rehabilitation Center. She was a caregiver for many people, especially her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Tonkin; a daughter, Annette Riffle of Fitzgerald, Ga.; two sisters, Candy (Randy) Long, of Morgantown, and Twilla Kucish, of Hagans; four grandchildren, Justin (Miranda) Riffle, Juwan Holland, Ryan Riffle and Kristen Riffle; three great-grandchildren, Khloe Riffle, Novalee Riffle and Ryker Riffle; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Riffle.
She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Ray Riffle; three brothers, Waitman Warren Wright, Steve Cool and Danny Cool; and parents, Lola Kucish and Tony Kucish (Homer Preston Cool).
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 4 . Service will be at McCulla Funeral Home, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 with Pastor Isaac Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
