Everett E. DeVall, 73, of Fairmont, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, at John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center in Fairmont. He was born June 12, 1948, in Glade Meadow of Valley Point, a son of Elmer Carlus and Bernice Virginia Groves DeVall.
Everett enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball on the radio. During his youth, he worked on the family farm. Employment included the Albright Sawmill, Burhl Groves Construction and Giant Eagle. Most of his adult life, he helped care for his brother, Robert, and also his mother in her later years.
He is survived by his sisters, Barbara June Richards, of Albright, Jacquelene Rose Richards, of Morgantown, Pamela Sherren and husband Richard, of Pataskala, Ohio; nine nieces and nephews; and several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Llwellyn DeVall and Roger Lee DeVall; and a niece.
Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church 8961 North Preston Highway, Albright, WV 26519, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at noon on Thursday, Jan. 27, with Pastor Tim Edin officiating. Everett will be laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Masks are required for all who are attending the visitation and service.
