Gov. Justice plans in-person State of the State Address for Jan. 27

MORGANTOWN – Gov. Jim Justice announced on Thursday that he will deliver his in-person State of the State address to a joint session of the Legislature at 7 p.m Thursday, Jan. 27, in the House of Delegates.

Justice postponed his previously planned address set for Jan. 12 after testing positive for COVID-19. In its place, to fulfill state constitutional requirements, he delivered a brief written address. That marked the first time in modern state history that a governor has delivered his State of the State by written message, he said.
