WVPT has kicked off its 2021-22 season, with a holiday tradition — “A Christmas Carol” directed by Jerry McGonigle, adapted by Andy Lyons.

Additional performances are set for 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at the WVU Creative Arts Center.

Single tickets are on sale and may be purchased online at Eventbrite or in person at the College of Creative Arts Box Office lobby from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  or at the door. Learn more at wvpublictheatre.org/.

This rendition of “A Christmas Carol” is an original West Virginia Public Theatre adaptation.

All audience members are required to wear masks; patrons that fail to comply with this policy will be asked to leave the theater without a ticket refund. By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing that everyone in your party consents to wearing a mask correctly for the duration of the show.

Cast members undergo rigorous COVID testing and safety policies to ensure they can perform safely without masks.
