W.Va. SBA seeks nominations for Small Business Week 2022

CLARKSBURG — Do you or someone you know have what it takes to become America’s “Small Business Person of the Year” for 2022? If so, the U.S. Small Business Administration wants to hear from you.

The U.S. Small Business Administration West Virginia District Office is proud to announce that the SBA’s West Virginia District Office is ready to accept nominations for its 2022 National and West Virginia Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year award.

Visit SBA’s dedicated website www.sba.gov/nsbw to download forms, criteria, and guidelines for submitting a nomination. West Virginia District nomination guidelines and district awards categories can be found on the district’s website at www.sba.gov/wv.

The SBA Awards given in celebration of National and District Small Business Week include the following awards:

West Virginia District Small Business Week categories

  • Small Business Person of the Year (national and district)
  • Small Business Exporter (national and district)
  • West Virginia Family-Owned Small Business of the Year
  • West Virginia Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year
  • West Virginia Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year

“We are looking forward to celebrating our Mountain State small businesses for National Small Business Week in 2022,” said SBA West Virginia District Director Karen Friel.

All nominations must be received by the West Virginia District Office by electronic submission only to the district’s BOX account, no later 3 p.m. Jan. 11.
