House of Delegates coal workgroup postpones Morgantown listening tour stop

CHARLESTON — The House of Delegates Coal Communities Workgroup has postponed its listening tour stop in Morgantown.

The Morgantown stop was set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Shack Neighborhood House in Pursglove. A new date has not been set.

This was the second scheduled stop of the group’s listening tour; the first and second stops had to be rescheduled because the Legislature’s special session on redistricting is taking longer than expected.

The bipartisan group was formed earlier this year. Its goal “is to go into communities and talk with local residents as well as local community and business leaders, to determine what our coal communities specifically need to succeed and what tools are already available.”
