OLLI to host virtual open house Sept. 22

MORGANTOWN — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU will host A Taste of OLLI, a virtual open house, from 3-4:30 p.m. Sept. 22 on Zoom and YouTube.

A preview of upcoming fall term classes and events designed for older adults, A Taste of OLLI will feature an introduction to the program, short course descriptions by instructors, and a Q&A segment. The event is free and open to the public.

Register to receive the Zoom link at bit.ly/3AJVBXT.

OLLI at WVU offers non-credit lectures, workshops, discussions, field trips and interest groups, encouraging participants to learn about something new, think about something differently, or rediscover a forgotten interest.

Topics include the arts, history and literature, health and wellness, social sciences and current events, philosophy and religion, science, technology and travel. With no tests and no grades, this is learning simply for the fun of it.

OLLI’s fall term programming begins Oct. 1. Classes will be offered in-person at Mountaineer Mall, 5000 Green Bag Road, and on Zoom.

Designed for adults 50 years and older, OLLI welcomes anyone with a passion for the pursuit of knowledge and adventure and the desire to meet new friends. Membership is required for participation in most programming. Fee waivers are available.
