Gov announces first winners in second round of Babydog sweepstakes

The first drawing in Babydog’s return to the road was held Thursday, yielding more winners in Gov. Jim Justice’s vaccination sweepstakes.

This round features new prizes, including a luxury sports car, a boat, 10 years of free gas and $150,000 for  a dream wedding.

It also ups the free college ante, offering five  full-ride scholarships — up from two in Round 1 — to any higher ed campus in the state.

Also up for grabs: season tickets to WVU and Marshall basketball and football games, season ski lift passes, ATVs and riding mowers.  

With the lottery’s namsake bulldog in tow, Justice surpised Beth Eves, of Branchland, with a  2021 BMW M240i coupe.

 Matthew Hill, of Hungtington, took home a Bennington pontoon boat, an outboard motor and trailer.

Benjamin Baker, of  Spencer,  Rocco DiGiandomenico, of Wheeling, and Caleb Stewart, of Flemington, each won a scholarship.

The final two winners were announced later in day.

Sheila Parks, of  Williamstown, got a cool $150,000 to put toward a dream wedding.
